Starting August 1st (per agencies policies) SRS will confirm the submittal of the Outside Activity Report (OAR) for all Primary Investigators (NIH) and Primary Investigators and Co-PIs (NSF, all other federal agencies) before a proposal can be submitted to an agency for funding.

For those of you who submit grants to federal agencies, this email is for you!!
UC continues to strive for 100% compliance with federal regulations pertaining to sponsored funding from all federal agencies. The UC policy: Conflict of Interest on Federally Sponsored Projects (1.3.2) requires all investigators who are faculty or staff to ensure that their Outside Activity Report (OAR) is updated prior to submitting any application for funding to The Office of Sponsored Research Services (SRS).
NEW: SRS must confirm prior to proposal submission for Investigators and Multiple Investigators for NIH, Primary and Co-Investigators for NSF and all other federal agencies listed on an application that a current fiscal year OAR has been completed and is on file in the Office of the General Counsel before the application can be submitted.

RE: 2nd Level OAR Review deadline
July 31 is the deadline for the review of Outside Activity Reports to be completed by the second level of review (typically directors and deans). Log into the OAR site at https://webcentral.uc.edu/oar/index.cfm
and click on 'Review Reports Submitted to Me' to complete your review of submitted reports.
As of July 20, 6089 UC employees have completed and submitted their reports. We need your help getting the remaining ones completed, which include 873 employees who have not yet started their OAR submission, 87 who have started their Outside Activity Report but have not yet submitted them, and 307 Outside Activity Reports still in Review.
You are responsible for assuring compliance by those who report to you. To view a report of employees in your area:
. Click on Report Summary in the upper right corner
. Click on Dean/VP Reports
. Drop down under College to find your administrative unit (it includes more than colleges)
. Select Incomplete Report Type
. Click on View Report
Send an e-mail from you to all in your department who have not yet submitted a report.
