Contracts Management

  • Contracts Management is responsible for legal review and negotiations of any document (Request for Proposal, Award (foreign and domestic), Subaward, Contract, Purchase Orders, Pharmaceutical agreements related to federal clinical trials, Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA), Space Act Agreements, Educational Partnership Agreements, Master Agreements etc. under the authority delegated by the Office of the General Counsel and the Office of Entrepreneurial Affairs and Technology Commercialization.
  • Contracts Management is responsible for preparation of, execution and reporting on subawards and subcontracts to other universities, non-profits, for-profit commercial organizations, hospitals, and foreign entities.
  • Contracts Management is also responsible for ascertaining the entity is legally licensed to do business and that UC has the correct legal name of the entity.
  • Contracts Management is responsible for the due diligence required to verify UC is not contracting with an entity that owes the state of Ohio funds.
  • Contracts Management is responsible for the due diligence required to verify foreign entities and principal investigators are not on any federal Department of Commerce – Bureau of Industry and Security Denied Persons List, Unverified List , Entity List; Department of State – Bureau of International Security and Non-proliferation Nonproliferation Sanctions; Department of State – Directorate of Defense Trade Controls AECA Debarred List; Department of the Treasury – Office of Foreign Assets Control Specially Designated Nationals List.
